New CEO at QUPAQ

Friday, March 1st, Christian Bols assumed the position as CEO for QUPAQ, the world’s leading supplier of tray denesters for the food industry. With a solid background in commercial roles within the food technology sector, Christian will lead QUPAQ in its journey to become the preferred global provider of food packaging technology.

Christian Bols joins QUPAQ from Marel, where he held various leadership positions over the years, most recently as Vice President – Sales at Marel US Inc., Lenexa, KS, USA, where he was a member of the management team for Marel US Inc. Prior to Marel, Christian served as CEO of Migatronic Automation, worked for Scanvaegt as head of their subsidiary in Norway, and worked for Carnitech in both Denmark and in the USA.

At QUPAQ, Christian Bols will continue QUPAQ’s mission of becoming the preferred global provider of food packaging technology.

“QUPAQ has quickly become a well-known and respected name internationally in the industry. This is evident in the significant growth seen in recent years, driven by strong investments in new development and innovation, establishing a solid foundation for the future,” says Christian Bols.

And the positive momentum must be maintained. With new products on the horizon and new markets to explore, there are many opportunities to pursue.

“QUPAQ has succeeded in building strategic partnerships around the world. We must continue to strengthen our position in the market by introducing a broader product portfolio and increasing awareness of our solutions. This is where we must fulfill our potential and expectations. The new products on the way give QUPAQ an unprecedented ability to denest all trays on the market – regardless of material and shape. This will naturally generate demand, which we must actively work to promote.”

And it is exactly the commercial area that Christian Bols looks forward to shaping.

“In the coming year, a new strategy and vision must be formulated as the current 2025 strategy is fulfilled. It is an exciting task that I look forward to begin. Additionally, I am excited to meet the entire organization in the time to come. Together we will build the foundation to establish ourselves as the undisputed standard for automated packaging technology worldwide”, says Christian Bols.

Christian Bols succeeds Kim Weidemann, who has been CEO of QUPAQ since 2020. Kim completed the merger of the packaging divisions from Intech International and Carsoe in 2022.
